It truly is that much fun and excitement - in fact, for me, that excitement never quite wears off.

It can take some time for them to fall into a regular laying pattern - new layers will often lay in fits and starts as their bodies find their rhythm. How regularly she will lay will depend, in part, on her breed as different breeds have different average rates of production (eggs per week).

Congratulations.....those are beautiful first eggs!
