They are going to be integrating into a older flock, I have some chicks about a month or two older than them so I am hoping I can block off part of the coop (my coop is split with a door in the middle) and maybe have those chicks live together for a while and my adults live in the other side...

I am getting the coop ready, i’m going to move them out in about a week, they just pretty curious since I just moved them and left it open. For now, I take them out for a couple hours a day to play outside :)!

Thank you ! I will totally make them a little dust bath, when I take them outside (supervised) they love taking dust baths in the dirt! Thanks on the food ideas, they are eating eggs and kale right now with girt! ♥️

Ok thanks! They are about 2 months old right now. I think i’ll add some kale and chop up the oatmeal a bit.

Just moved the chicks into a larger cage! I think they approve! 😁 Does anyone have any suggestions of things to add for entertainment?

Sooo, I have a slight problem. I ordered new chick food for my 3 amberlink chicks but it is shipping kind of late. It’s going to arrive tomorrow but I already almost ran out of food, for the rest of today and a part of tomorrow do you think that some oatmeal and scrambled eggs in their remaining...

If it gets too cold I can probably take them inside or set up some sort of heater in their coop.

Also, i’ve heard that a satin is a silkie and cochin mix to create a smooth feathered silkie. Do you think maybe that’s it?

Here is a better picture of his neck, it has no feathers. If he isn’t a showgirl what is he? He is a lot younger in this picture than he is now, I can’t find a good side view of him as an adult.

It is more like Hibiscus’s comb, I was told these were both purebred silkies but I have doubts, I did get them at a poultry expo so no fancy breeder.

They both have black skin, expect for the combs/waddles are red.

The black one is a showgirl, and the white one I bought as a silkie, but I am one completely sure if he is a pure silkie? Maybe a satin? Maybe someone on here knows.
