I really like these too- They are longer and longer legged than most pics of Sumatras I have seen. They look more like a game type bird than most of the sumatras I've seen- Are these a special "line" of Sumatras?

It's a shame about your male. They are such personable birds. Some of mine are naked necked and some aren't. My stock came from eggs imported from Madagascar and looked as if those had been crossed with some meat birds. So I crossed some with Shamos. Though some are 7/8s Madagascar, I'd...
Hey Paul s got any pics of your Madagascars? I got a Rooster last year from a friend and all was going well- he seemed fine and healthy and I had started looking around for a suitable hen for him. Then I went out to feed and water him and he looked like he just laid down and went to...

I got ten "hatch " pullets in a trade with a guy from Mississippi who got them from a gamefowl keeper in Alabama- All are nice and three of them look identical to these sweater hens you posted on here
I have a question for you guys that have been raising games for a long time- I know a lot of people only keep the game hens in individual pens or with only a couple of hens . I sometimes have to house several in one large pen due to space etc. Of course you know when you introduce...

He looks exactly like one of my roosters and he is half brown red hatch and half spangled hatch . He's a pretty rooster - I haven't dubbed mine yet either- I want him dubbed but have never done it and haven't quite worked up the nerve yet
Was reading on one of those other forums that I googled about "Black Japs" Saw some pics they were nice looking hens but didn't see any pictures of roosters- Any of you guys know anything about them?

Wow!! Love the color and her shape- And I also like a hen with spurs for some reason- always have.
Thank you.
She is mean as they come when she has a clutch of biddies and loves to use those spurs and I have the scares on my legs to prove it.
Chris
I like a mean hen too-...

I absolutely love the first hen with the dark face!! What kind is she? The other ones are nice too but the really black face on that first one is what I really like- I guess maybe because it so unusual

Games were originally bred for cockfighting, this is a pretty well known fact, in some countries they still are used in cockfighting there. Now that it is illegal in the US most of the breeds are going towards show fowl, or some breed them just for their history. You can look into the...

Just to let you all know- I went out this morning to feed and my Madagascar Rooster was dead. He hadn't appeared sick and he was in the shade and had plenty of water and feed. Don't know what happened unless the move took a toll on him or somthing. I really hate it but I...

Thanks Pops- Come to think of it I haven't seen any really large asils around here either- I have a friend close to Memphis who is much more knowledgeable about gamefowl - He raises a lot of oddball stuff - maybe he can hook me up with something good . I've got some more pics...
