one question, not to try to get things shut down, but how do I breed for gameness if fighting is outlawed? backyard scraps sufficient enough?
pm if R rated... lol
sad that something our fore-fathers did as a sport is now illegal. what l learn from this thread and others like it, makes me wish...
See why couldn't I have gotten into games like this back when I was a young buck? I'd be the knowledge king! Lol
Shubin, pm me and tell me what you like about him... I still can't see it... But if Ya point it out I may see it as well and keep him...?
that means a Christmas cut... Should I wait till spring when it's warmer?
Also my buddy I got my grey from used a razor to dub my grey. How common is that? I have always seen it done wit a hefty set of scissors.
how long should I wait to dub? I have a april hatch stag that is in need of a cut! lol I cant stand the way he looks with a comb... he is also on the fat side... I think DW started him on broiler feed... my other stag is so much smaller and lighter than he is... but he needs a cut too... any...
Noob here.... Could you explain? I like to know the history of gamefowl as much as I can learn!
Any other history facts with game fowl and lines, breeders, etc from anyone else?
I would have loved to have learned, heck even would have loved to have lived in the Times game was legal.
I can't do it... I got a roo that had been despurred and I couldn't take the way his spurs looked. They were all red and funky lookin. Can't bear to do that to my grey... He has finally grown his spur back from before I got him. But hey to each their own... Anyone actually utilize the spur...
yea direct supervision! lol wish my grey knew that! he got out again thru a 4"gap in a slat on his pen. all the other roos that play well with others in the yard were in neighbors yards till I got home and put him up! lol I see who runs my yard now! lol but my D'Uccle has some things to say...
those go on their spurs? does that mean I have to trim them? I thought they made actual boxing gloves for birds? idk? I would just keep them separated. I like long spurs on my fowl.
