Ok, you asked for it FF, here he is, the Grand Champion himself!

why do you have something tied around his legs?
It's a makeshift hitch to keep the bird from going too far in the event that he...
Centrarchid,
My concern is the lack of planning behind the statement of someone looking for "good free-ranging" fowl. They likely do not realize the quantities required and preparations involved in keeping such a flock. I highly doubt you could just turn them loose (effectively becoming...
Centrarchid,
What are the numbers you breed for in your free range fowl? Do they propogate themselves or are you gathering & hatching eggs, then brooding the young for release?

A strain of what?
of game bird.
Still rather vague.
If you want something that can run around in your yard, evade predators, and rear young... You're really asking the impossible. I have game hens and non-game hens alike that once they go broody out on the yard, it's a death...

Hey Cuban Longtails, thanks for the tip! I went on Ebay & bought 20 White Sonotol Asil eggs from FlyinFrizzle. Hopefully they are offspring of the birds in the pictures he had posted. Looked very nice.
You're welcome! Good luck on the incubation & hatch!
FlyingFrizzle has white asils. He sells on ebay sometimes. I don't believe he's a member of BYC, but I've seen where he has posted photos of his birds on gamefowl forums.
