How do you guys track your birds? Do you guys keep notes on matings? Do you guys use legs bands or wing bands to keep track of your birds for breeding?
Pretty sure my game hen is going to lay her first egg if the season today. She was making such a ruckus because another hen is in the nest box trying to lay an egg. So I put up a divider for her and now there’s a nest box compartment just for her.
The only thing I like about automatic doors is that I would be able to sleep late and my birds would be let out. I don’t mind having to lock up my birds at night.
Some started a thread asking what to do about their rooster with no legs.
A couple people including myself said to cull, but this person wants to make the rooster house chicken. :th
I wanted to butcher them when they were 3 months old but they started crowing at 2 months of age, so I took them to a local animal park near where I live. The park has lots of ducks, peafowl, and chickens.
