I want some of these chickens!! :) I'm thinking I may have found my new favorite chicken breed. As soon as I can buy chickens again, I must get some of these lovelies.

Excellent suggestions for a long and narrow coop. I'm trying to revamp ours a bit. It's not quite as long, or as a narrow as yours, but enough to make it challenging.

The Swedish Flower Hens have finally tempted me away from my Speckled Sussex, so now I'm looking around to...

    Swedish Flower Hen Thread

I've had Speckled Sussex for 6 years. I am wanting some of these pretty fierce! It surprises me, because I haven't really felt drawn to a new chicken variety quite like this before. The added bonus is the winter hardiness of these girls, as we live in New England, and that's a plus. So hopefully...

    brood done...still have viable eggs..maybe

Eggs are cool to the touch, but there's still movement in at least 2 of the eggs. They were 'bonus' eggs from a sneaky second hen...so they could be up to 7 days behind the hatched eggs. Are they saveable? is there some sort of quick and dirty method to incubate them the rest of the unknown...
