That's why I put it in quotations. Didn't want to build up more confusion. But yes, they're most definitely NOT white, just light colored - as the blackshoulder (or solid wing) pattern dictates. 100% cute always.

Girls will be "white," boys will be blue. That's how the color/pattern works.

My birds live in Lyons. I could probably hatch a few, or sell you some eggs next summer. No guarantee on color, but my dominant male is white and I have lots of pieds. We can talk about it as it gets closer.

Hiccup did a little showing off for Gershwin on our last visit a couple weekends ago. He's got one white train feather at the very top. :) Sorry for the poor quality, I only had my 3.0mp cell phone camera on me at the time. But it's still cute anyway. :)

Gershwin got to meet the birds (and the goats) this weekend. :) Wiley has an impressive train for a 2-year-old, the rest only have a few eye feathers here and there. They grow up so fast. Muppet was the first to say hello. Followed shortly, of course, by her main man, Hiccup...

Okay, not a pea, but I gotta show him off... Meet Gershwin, the newest member of my family. He's a Miniature Bull Terrier... I've wanted one for as long as I can remember and my dreams finally came true. :) But to keep the post bird-related, here's a picture with his pelican toy.
