They are beautiful! I suspect her being a speckled Sussex but I wasn’t sure because she’s not quite as “speckled” as most I see. Is that something that will come once she gets all her adult feathers?
I was thinking so! She’s so pretty. Looks nothing like my other hens, I’ve been reading about all the other breeds but know nothing about speckled Sussex chickens.
We got a solar light for our coop, but upon reading it looks like there’s different light modes. I know they need full darkness the majority of the night to sleep so which mode do y’all think would be best to leave the light on?
Also to avoid making multiple posts, do you recommend taking their water out at night? Our ducks and chickens are in a coop together, and the ducks have all our shavings soaked constantly from splashing in the water. Do ducks or chickens need water at night?
