Thank you so much! That is actually really neat! This hatch o had 2 that where solid blonde with orange legs and becks and 2 that where dark grey colored with black becks and legs!

I have 2 White Chinese females and I American Buff Male. This is my 2nd batch I've hatched from them and I'm just wondering why some of the offspring are dark colored when neither the mom or dad are? Attached are pics of parents and offspring.

Update!! I have taken her off over and over till she has finally gave it up! So far today she hasn't messed with the nest and the duck if back on her nest.

She has been sitting for 2 days now, I even picked her up and got her off the nest and she went right back too it, and I have 2 female white Chinese and 1 male American buff all the same age

I have 3 eggs pipping 3 days early ( 1 silkie and 2 zombies) and one of the eggs is pipping at the wrong end, I have hatched my fair share of chicks and ducks but this is my first time seeing one pipping the wrong end. Thanks for the info, I have ordered some of the active charcoal to keep on hand also, and it was 2 different ducks this time which makes it even more confusing!! It's almost like they are eating something that makes them extremely high and it wears off after a while, I just can't figure it out.

Their pond had a filtration system so maybe it's not the water and they free range on about an acre and half, it was an old hay field at one time so most of the grass that grows is Bermuda grass, but other that and your normal weeds here and there , the only other thing in there are pine trees...
