Yes, I'm aware they can't see in the dark. We are present and watch them in the camera to make sure they are on the roost before we turn the light out. The extended evening works for ours.
Congrats, such a pretty egg. My Bluebell just laid her first one the day before yesterday and the Easter Egger laid today. I am excited to finally have some colorful eggs. All my other girls lay brown eggs but of course I am equally thankful for them. :)
