Will any of these breed sex linked?

This is super helpful and after some scouring Google that’s about what I gathered. I’m going to start collecting the barred rocks only! I only need to top the flock off with 2-4 birds this year. And to answer your question usually around 8 weeks we know for sure. Sometimes as early as 7 but we...

Will any of these breed sex linked?

Hey y’all last couple incubations have been rooster heavy. It’s always a struggle to feed them for a few months only to give them away or cull them. I’ve seen some sex linked breed charts floating around but can’t find the one I used last time. My question is: does anything I have currently...

Need help. Barred rock hen X welsummer rooster

The results were exactly as expected. The males had a white spot and at 10 weeks are growing out like barred rock roosters and the females were pitch black without the head spot and at 10 weeks are showing plenty of golden leakage around the neck!

11 birds! Hen or Roo?! I know 2 of them. *pics*

Reviving this because In the next weeks I’m gonna get rid of the cockerels and I’d like to get one more photo session/opinion on them before they go. It’s been another week or two so in the next couple days I’ll post more. The one I’m really holding out on is 8 I have a hen that looks identical...

    Starlight green roosters gene question

I don’t know the answer to this as mine aren’t “official” starlight green eggers. Starlight green egger to my knowledge is the trademarked prairie blue bell from Hoovers hatchery Bred with “ a brown egg layer” it would make most sense to me for them to use a bcm or a welsummer for shading, but...

    Starlight green roosters gene question

Hey all I have some prairie bluebell eggers that I crossed with a welsummer creating essentially a starlight green egger (although I’m sure that tm to Hoovers hatchery) anyway I’m giving away the roosters but would like to have some minor idea of what to tell people when they ask about egg color...

    North Carolina

Wish I could help you. I could donate some cockerels if you’re looking to replace any lost, but don’t have any ducks or hens. Sorry about your recent event. Tsc in Clemmons had Pekin ducks two weeks ago but every day since I’ve been has just been assorted ducks

9 is definitely a pullet, 11 is def a roo. As for the others I’m hoping 8 is a hen also. I’ve got a bearded hen that looks just like it. My wife said “that must be beardo’s baby” haha I look forward to seeing what color olive the welsummer overlays on our bluebells!
