I’ve had 2 hatch on Friday and this morning I noticed piping and movement in some of the other eggs. How long from piping until they start zipping and hatching as it’s been 4 ish hours since I noticed. Do I need to help them in any way

I managed to hatch one quail last year but it died less than a week later so I’m hoping I will get a few more but I’m not used to hatching quail

Today is day 15 of my quail eggs in the incubator and there is no sign of movement in the eggs. Last time I candled them there were veins and you could only see the air sack in them. How long until they start hatching and is there the possibility non will hatch.

This quail was brought to life very late last night but has thankfully survived but it won’t move the leg at the front. The knee joint is swollen and most of the time it’s lying on its back. Any suggestions what I can do

That makes sense it’s made it over night but it still can’t balance properly and one of its legs won’t move and is more swollen around the knee joint

It looks like it has fully absorbed the egg yolk

I’m not sure I was crouched on the floor clearing out the incubator as non showed any signs of life and it fell onto the floor and it came out and I thought it was dead at first until it started to move

Is wriggling around and keeps flipping itself over and I’m hearing the occasional cheep. I’m just hoping that it makes it until morning

It just looks tightly held together and I’ve never hatched chicks using and incubator I have always used a hen

It’s moving around a little

All my quail hatched on Tuesday and Wednesday and today we decided to turn the incubator off. We managed to drop an egg and it was alive, it was partially covered in blood. It seems to be getting a little stronger but I’m not sure what to do.

It’s legs are quite far apart it moves around a little then lies down.
