    Chicken "Hospital" under coop?

I appreciate this feedback. Is there a different recommended minimum square footage for if my chickens are likely to be in the run quite a bit? ( I can and will let them roam the yard, but only when I am home to supervise, which limits their outside time quite a bit.)

    Chicken "Hospital" under coop?

I appreciate this feedback. I think I can comfortably extend my setup to 12 feet-- after which it is going to start becoming problematic for the space. I especially appreciate you mentioning having space for clutter enrichment. That is something I really want to put into play because my...

    Chicken "Hospital" under coop?

I don't have a space limit per city ordinance-- at least not that I am aware of. It's more of a space (behind the garden) issue. I could potentially increase length of coop/run to 12 feet. Are you asking that so that when a dog crate has to be put in there it won't take up as much run?

    Chicken "Hospital" under coop?

Lethargic hen with mites, lice, possible worms

Looking for some advice on how to care for our sick hen right now and insight as to how worried we should/should not be. I have helped others care for their chickens in the past, but I inherited these 3 chickens this fall at my new living situation and am having a lot of new experiences as a...

    Hello!

Hello All! New member here. I inherited three hens this fall at my new living situation. I have helped siblings to take care of their chickens in the past, so I'm not a complete newby, but I have never had my own to look after until now. All three hens are different types-- but I actually...
