thanks for your story, I assisted one of my guinea keets out of her shell.. She was splay leg and for 3 weeks I taped her legs..they never were straight and I made the choice to have her put to sleep.

You are correct. They seriously do what ever they want.. Tonight my 5 adult guineas are with my young guineas in the coop and no one sleeping on the barn rafters.

Moved them out of their brooder nest into this indoor coop to grow out more. Kinda cold? Temp is reading 57°F .. They do have their two nesting warm plates.

I am so glad she didn't. It would have been my fault. She is a big time killer and even kills small rabbits.

Hatch rate 8/8.. Had 2 keets and an egg in the incubator when I went to sleep last night. I also had my barn cat inside becasue she was super late to get home and I didnt want to leave her outside (she recently recovered from a nasty fall ?maybe? something that left her vertigo all out of wack)...

Hardest part about incubating during the fall is the humidity. I had to check humidity 3x a day and add water .. All my other hatches had the convenience of humidity in the air and I didnt have to deal with it so much.
