I have never been able to master gf pie crust. I am a very good from scratch baker with wheat flour. I am so impatient with gf baked goods. And that phyllo crust is so delicious! I will post if I can pull it off.

I have a black heat bulb in a caged hanging lamp, a thermometer, a nice big tub, chick sized feeder and waterer. I am a mother hen myself. I tend to check on then very often.

My afternoon report: I can't believe it! 4 eggs for the day from my 5 girls. 2 eggs in each box! Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but there was very little screaming this morning. Thank God.

I wanted orps badly, but I compromised with my husband and got the barred rocks instead. And we love them, along with our astralorps. Thurs morning my 2 orps chicks are arriving! I am excited. What is the problem here???

I placed both boxes back in the henhouse yesterday. This morning there was some screaming so I am sure they are competing for the same box again. Can't wait to see where the eggs will be. They are like children fighting over one toy. Thinking of starting a betting pool, lol!!
