    Roundworms

I noticed roundworms in one of my hens poop two days ago so treated all of them with Safeguard. Today I saw more roundworms in poop so I'm wondering if that is because the treatment is working? Would the disgusting worms be alive or dead when they come out?

    Roo??

Eight weeks old tomorrow. What do you all think? Roo or pullet. I keep telling myself pullet because the comb is not thaaaat red, but he/she acts a little roo-ish.

Integrating 7 week old chicks with existing flock

They are all separated by chicken wire now so they are definitely familiar with each each other. I guess my concern was that the two OEG's are so tiny. What age were your chicks when you combined them?

Integrating 7 week old chicks with existing flock

My five 7 week old bantam chicks have been out in the fenced run (but separated and living in a smaller coop) with my existing nine assorted mix bantams for the past two weeks. I'd like to open the door and let them in with the bigger girls ( no rooster), but two of the chicks are old English...

    Cackle Hatchery Bantams

Here's my little chick at six weeks. Pretty sure it's not a brahma. Still thinking maybe a red cochin? I'm also now wondering if she is a HE. What do you think.

    Coop Ready?

What is your opinions on these girls. They are four weeks old today. Ready for their coop? With or without heat plate? And, any ideas what the little goldish/reddish feather footed cuties might be? They are all bantams

    Cackle Hatchery Bantams

Yes. That is precisely what I ordered. I looked at pics of the baby chicks that were listed, but didn't appear to match, but I'm certainly no expert at identifying chicks. You sound very knowledgeable so I hope your right because I would love some buff Brahmas. They're all so cute I guess...

    Cackle Hatchery Bantams

First time ordering from Cackle Hatchery and I am so pleased! Ordered the 5 bantam pullet deal and was so pleasantly surprised to open the box to 7! They are so healthy and sturdy! Quick delivery, too. So.....any guesses to what I received? All are feather footed except the brown striped...

    SILKIE CHICKS

Question concerning silkie hens. I've been reading about how they are excellent mothers and will even sit on other hens eggs. So I'm wondering if I added some chicks to the coop and monitored very carefully... do you think one of my two silkie sweeties would care for them??

    Food Dish

Thank you for your input. I can always count on BYC members for great advice! They are a new flock of assorted bantams and while I know a few are young pullets I'm not entirely sure about all of them. There are nine hens total. I ordered a waste free feeder and it arrives tomorrow so...

    Food Dish

My new flock of chickens waste so much food and make a huge mess! I'm not sure why this is happening. I've watched them and they peck at it (eating it) and continue to toss it out of the dish while they're eating. I've tried placing it up on a higher surface, but the same thing happens...
