    Hatching tiny/ferry egg?

Anyone every try to hatch a tiny/fairy egg? This is my first tiny egg. I would think there would be no yolk in it but never cracked or see one in person before. Anyone ever incubate one? How adorable would a tiny chicken be? These are Ayam Cemani eggs.

Chicken Breed Focus - Isbar (Blue Isbar)

Lilcougar4 shared a great chart for the basics. Blues will give you a variety of colours. Blacks will depend on what you breed to. You can get only blacks if you go to blacks. I find them to be amazing foragers! They love the outdoor space and will spend all day scratching and looking for...

Scrambled eggs... How many and often for sick hen

Yeah the flashlight made all the difference in the dark room. She was not interested in the chicken feed so wanted something that I could put probiotics into and get her a bit stronger. This morning she has eating at the feeder! One hen pushed her out of the way and then she went back to it...

Scrambled eggs... How many and often for sick hen

We have had a couple regular poops today :) Still quiet but seems a bit brighter. I have treated her for worms and lice as suggested by vet. Whole flock was treated. She did have some lice on inspection with a flashlight. Thank you to the person who suggested using a flashlight as I did...

Scrambled eggs... How many and often for sick hen

Thanks. Megalay is a 16% protein. Not sure of calcium level in it off hand. They do have oystershells available and a small amount mixed in feeder as well. The BOSS are not handfulls... they are maybe half if that. I grab some and still have to open the door with that hand. lol.

I do have that on hand for chicks. Never had issue with it in older chickens. But maybe... Coop is cleaned out often and they are outside a lot.

Scrambled eggs... How many and often for sick hen

Ok, thanks. Fed it to her 2x now and cooked up 2 eggs. She did eat some watermelon too but I dont think there is much in that for her. She is weak and wobbly but still gets around in and out and watched her take her time thinking about how to get up on the roost this evening but she did...

Scrambled eggs... How many and often for sick hen

Hen not thriving and lethargic. Picking food but not really eating well. Drinking water ok. Lost some weight over last week. All other hens are normal and no issues. Tried scrambled eggs today and she loved it. Added some probiotic powder and electro. powder to eggs. How many times a...

    INCUBATOR HUMIDITY FLUCTUATIONS

Good question.. Also wonder what you all think is too high for final 3 days. Before they start hatching and it spikes from wet chicks.

    Cracked eggs in incubator?

I know this is an old thread but great reading good stories. I just received 16 shipped eggs and 5 have small cracks on the large end. So going to candle wax them and see how it goes. If 1 pulls through, its worth the effort! Wish me luck :) Will report back as I go through incubation.

Need HELP with a chick ASAP!

Yes, I have. What this chick was doing was not normal. I did leave it alone for quite some time in the incubator (12+hrs) too long I think as the umbilical had dried up and wrapped itself around the leg. It was completely dry and fluffed up with the umbilical dried up like a rope around its...

Need HELP with a chick ASAP!

Thanks for that! I was readying about the slipped tendon and could not see it quite right in the cup. Its leg also appeared a bit red from rubbing on the cup so I cut a sock and decided to transfer the chick to a sock chair which seems way more comfortable. I took chick out of cup and checked...
