My daughter posted the thread. She’s not making any sounds. I’ve drained chickens before with water belly. Her belly is swollen some. Lower right side of course. It has been several weeks since they were wormed with ivermectin. Her comb is red she is eating a little. Haven’t seen her drink but I...
I have a 1 year old Buff Orpington hen that is acting strangely, she is panting and clicking in a way that sounds like a goose, she has an abnormally large belly, I have tried to drain it but nothing comes out but digesting food, she is a chicken that is usually heavy, but is extremely light...
I have a 4 week old polish chick that is having some sort of leg issue. She still runs around but lays a lot more than others. Any idea? Deform from birth?
6 week old got her beak stuck somewhere 🤷🏻♀️. Was bleeding sprayed with vetericyn and separated her. She keeps crying. I feel bad for her. How long before she can be put back with the others?
I have a broody hen for about 2 weeks. Tried putting babies under her she sat for a few minutes then got up. When she laid back down the babies wouldn’t go under her, and she did nothing. How do I know if they accept each other?
Hi I am having an issue integrating my 6 hens and 1 rooster with my older flock. The littles are 14 weeks. The older ones range from 4 years to 7 months. They all free range fine no real problems. I put them together at night but when I check on them in the morning the littles will not go out in...
This little lady is 3 mo old. She came to us with a watery eye. I’ve been putting antibiotic ointment in it off and on. Now her face on that side only is very red. Does anyone have any feedback or info on how
To help her?
Yea that is a good solution but I don’t have that option. I’m more worried about the rooster he’s already protective of the littles. Do I separate him from all of them into a cage in the run? I’ve integrated hens before but I don’t know the best way to add him into the mix of his hens and the...
My established flock as 12 hens age ranged 4 yrs to 6 mo. The young flock has 6 hens and a rooster (that I did not order). They are 11 weeks. They will all be moving into the established hens coop. They are in a smaller coop and run right now.
Hi I’m wanting to add my young flock with a young rooster to a already established flock of hens. I’ve already noticed he is acting protective of the littles. Any ideas would be awesome.
I have a 5 week old chick that has an eye that “I’ll say waters” It’s been that way since she was a day old. It’s not bubbly and she or the others have no other symptoms. Any suggestions would be awesome.
