I have green legs, what am I?

I thought that was a good possibility. I was thinking i read that Easter eggers tend to have more slate colored legs. I have a few Easter eggers and they don’t have her leg coloring. Any chance she might be a green legged partridge hen?

I have green legs, what am I?

I purchased this chick a little over 3 weeks ago. She was labeled a cream legbar at Rural King. But that clearly isn’t what she is with her very green legs. She had the chipmunk Look when I got her.

    Are these Calico Princesses?

I’ll send a picture of when I brought her home. I thought I had 2 calico princesses but it turns out the top one in the box on the right turned out to be a Rhoade island red or something else. Aurora is bottom right. Hopefully it turns out the way you want lol but solving the mystery is also...

    Are these Calico Princesses?

This is my calico princess. A picture of her when she was about 4 weeks and a picture of her at 2 years and 4 months. I honestly questioned whether she really was a calico princess until she had her first molt. After her molt her feathers changed a lot and it became obvious to me that she was a...

Hen aloof and lethargic, barely eating - help

Yes keep me posted. Mine is still lethargic, comb pale and flopped over, very little appetite. Started her on Corid yesterday but not feeling very optimistic for her. I really enjoy chicken keeping but feel very inadequate when it comes to illness 😳

Hen aloof and lethargic, barely eating - help

I am also experiencing very similar symptoms in my chicken. In fact I have lost 2 chickens in the last 2 weeks of these symptoms and I noticed another one seemed off as of yesterday. I am anxious to hear any advice because I am concerned that it is something that is passing from chicken to...

    Disturbing a Broody Hen

I had to move mine broody hen twice and she did fine. A few times she went back to her original spot until I put her in an area that she couldn’t leave. I gave her plenty of food and water and she completely accepted the new spot.

    Show off your Easter Eggers!

I have 2 (22 week old) EE’s. So sweet. Their eggs are still small because they have just recently started laying(hopefully their eggs will get bigger). Their eggs are the two colored ones on the top of the basket. Sweet pea is the close up picture and Belle has more blue in her.

    ~The Sapphire Gem~ A Breed's Chat Thread

I have two sapphire gems. Elsa and Ana. They are very sweet, they started laying at about 16 weeks. They are 22 weeks now. Very sweet and friendly. Both of them have combs that flop over. I’ve read that combs can just be too heavy and that it isn’t a problem. Just curious if everyone else has...

Hard to say, I don’t have any bantams but my pullets all started laying and their eggs are small compared to my hens eggs.

What do do with mama hen and chicks

I also have a broody hen. She hatched one chick successfully 1 1/2 weeks ago. The others didn't make it. I also had the same issue with her choosing to set in nesting box above ground. I moved her to a dog crate with food and water. It took several days but she eventually settled in and didn't...

    Is she broody?

I have a broody hen and she doesn’t growl, hiss or bite when I come near her or remove the eggs to candle them. It all must depend on their personality.

Puffing feathers, won't leave nest, shivering, continuous rubbing beak side to side

She sounds like she may have gone broody. If she is, she is wanting to be a mama and hatch some baby chicks. I have one that is a first time broody and has been on the eggs in her nest for ten days now. Her behavior sounds almost identical to yours.
