My hen is 7-8 years old, blind in one eye, and missing the top mandible of her beak, so her coordination isn’t great and she’s a little fragile :)

I think it could work really well if you covered it with hardware cloth, but I would put an apron around it instead of wire underneath, as they could get their feet caught in it. It looks like it might be a little flimsy, but overall I think it'd make a really good temporary run/integration...
