After looking at yours - I think I might get that kit too but make the whole thing the coop by leaving the nesting box area, and taking out the middle pop door. I need an extra coop for a trio I want to put together this spring.
That looks great! Thank you for posting this, I've always been curious about these brackets. I just ordered the 10×20 run kit. I currently have 3 10×20 metal runs but one is on its last legs. You've inspired me to try replacing it myself!
I got my first egg today from one of my silkie easter eggers! I love these guys! I'll try to get some pictures of them soon, but here's their first egg. 🥰 The girls are all very easy going and sweet and curious. The roo, Mr. Fluffles, is adorable but a little extra dumb haha. Overall 10/10...
We shall see :fl I ordered 3 pullets and a roo. I'll be thrilled if they all look like big silkies and all lay blue, but I'll settle for just looking like big fluffy silkies. It looks like they're a bit cheaper this year. I hope that means they're breeding truer. I have chickens just for fun...
Yessss you need them! I think everyone should have some 😂 They're gorgeous, not too big, great layers, and mine are all so smart and engaged and cuddly. Do it!
My Spitz all came from Cackle Hatchery but I love the breed so much, I'll be adding some from Greenfire. I'm thrilled with the quality from Cackle though. My Olandsk mostly came from R FuzzyButt Poultry, and two hens came from Texas but I can't remember the farm name now. They are so...
He's gorgeous 😍 Appenzellers are my favorites, they're so beautiful and smart and friendly. And great layers! One of my Appenzeller girls is named Honk haha. Must be a breed characteristic.
What do you think of them if you have them? I've added them to my cart 3 times this week, please either convince me to go ahead and get them, or tell me they're the worst chickens ever created so I can stop looking at them. 😂
Here he(?) is at 6 weeks, 4 days. Looking more and more roo? He's very sweet. I'm pretty sure the blue olive egger crowed this morning, but Sunflower (looking more like Sunny) hasn't crowed yet. Has anyone had an EE hen with a triple pea comb?
Oh neat! These were ebay eggs but the listed possible breeds included AC, and CCL. That little one was born entirely black and she just started developing a little crest. She is so so sweet. I bought blue and green hatching eggs because I had white and brown layers, but no colored layers. I'll...
Oh dear, I was afraid of that. I thought the yellow one was bc it looks like it's got 3 rows in its comb, and it's coloring up like a boy. The blurry one is a blue maran/EE and acts very very boy, plus didn't grow a single tail feather for almost 2 weeks. 😂 I'm hoping the cemani/CCL is a girl...
