We already practiced regular worming etc, but the protozea can persist for years in the earthworm population.

I found they got along well until puberty, then became aggressive with one another. Formed a pecking order and the sr bothered the jr so much he'd jump fences to get away.

Well, maturation has resolved the gender mystery at Kingheman Ranch. It now appears ALL of our three emus are males.

So apparently I'm wrong. The EMU start breeding now, as I learned when my boy tried to hump me while I was working on a project in the field this weekend. The are laying now through the rest of winter, so you'll start to see hatched chicks in the spring.
I built a standing waterer with 6" pvc and a nipple at the base. Stands on one end and is bracketed to the side of the barn. She had it figured out in seconds.
