Hello everyone,
This 'little' one is confusing me. I have posted here before about this hatch and the consensus was girl.
Well, at 17 weeks, there are 2 boys (very distinct male colouring and prominent saddle feathers), 3 obvious girls and then Penelope !
I thought she was a girl until 2...
Hi, what are people's opinion on the sex of my 4 chicks ? Chick one is a Welsummer x Brahma and the other 3 are full Brahma. They all have the same Dad, an Isabella Brahma. 2 of their siblings are definitely boys as they have definite male colouring and saddle feathers. They are 12 weeks old...
Further to my post yesterday about my Sebright hen hatching 1 chick I'm very upset to say the little one has just passed away. It was OK yesterday evening but got progressively weaker as the day has gone on. I have removed the little one but I'm worried about Mum now. She has been in a brooder...
Well after 25 days the single fertile egg that my Sebright girl, Daisy, has been sitting on has hatched. It's a beautiful little chick but I'm really going to have to keep an eye on them because the egg was Welsummer x Brahma. It won't be very long until the chick is as big as its Mum !!! π₯°π₯°π₯°
My 2 lovely Pekin Boys Dave and Alf are looking for a loving home (together or separately) Hatch brothers and hand reared. Lovely temperament and they have a placid soft crow. We are in Suffolk, UK ππ
Hi everyone,
I'm quiet surprised at what I've just witnessed π€£π€£π€£
My 9 week old Pekin Bantam boy, Dave has (quite clumsily π€£π€£) just been trying to mate with a couple of my girls.
It's no problem at all but I thought at 9 weeks old that wouldn't be entering his head π€£π€£π€£
Anyone else had boys...
Hello all my fellow Brits, I'm trying to find a loving home with some lovely ladies for my 2 Pekin Bantam boys. Just over 8 weeks old, hand reared with a lovely nature and getting along fine together πππ
Out of the 10 chicks I've posted about over recent weeks these are the only 2 that I'm not sure about. There are 2 definite boys and 6 definite girls but Chas and Easter have reddish/pink combs but they are no where near as developed as Alf and Dave ππππ
Hello everyone,
One of my lovely Buff Colombian Brahma girls, Stacey, is broody.
This is not a problem at all, I've now brought her a maternity coop and run and she is happily sitting on 13 eggs.
7 are fertile.
Stacey 'acquired' egg 13 without me noticing and concealed it very carefully π€£ 5...
Hi Everyone,
Me again, more 'just for fun' guess the gender π€£π€£
The chicks are now 4 weeks old and the most funny, adorable little things π₯°
This time we have a head shot and a body shot of each chick.
What do you think ???? π₯°π₯°π₯°
Hello, this boy (Bert) is from my last hatch. Well, I'm almost sure he's a boy but he's much smaller than his sisters so I'm slightly doubtful, any thoughts ?
Hello again everyone,
I posted a couple of weeks ago regarding the sex of some of my brahma chicks. The consensus was pullets.
One definitely is but I'm still not sure about the 2 in the photos.
What do you all think ?
ππππππππ
Well, this hatch is confusing me π€£ Its my 5th hatch and by 10 weeks I've been almost positive that I've got the sex right of the chicks in my previous 4 hatches.
I have one brahma chick that has obvious saddle feathers but these 3 don't yet. 2 have redder combs than the other 1.
Any thoughts ...
Hello everyone,
I have a Sebright cockerel who lives with LF (and has done for some years). I used to have 3 Sebright girls but unfortunately I lost all 3 of them last year. He was very attached to my 2 old girls, both of which I have lost this year due to age. My little boy has now become very...
