from the 99+ degree heat today. My chickens were so happy. I can't wait for the fall. This summer has been so hard on my criiters.
Here are a few pics of our chicken "party" this afternoon, lol-
This is Stilts. I think it's a girl and such a sweetheart. She is our only Modern Game.

Besides my children, I think raising and spending time with my chickens has been so emotionally rewarding. My kids and I look forward to spending time in the coop every single day, rain or shine. When I spend time with them after a particularly stressful day, they make me feel like all is right...
After checking the nestboxes everyday for the past few weeks, I came home to find this little beauty~
I suspect either a Wyandotte or our OEG pullet. We can't wait for more. The kids and I scrambled it and divided it kinda like a victory meal, LOL.
These two hatched out of some eggs that the seller had marked as Buff. I also got 2 partridge that were supposed to be buff. What color will these two end up being? Calico maybe? Here are shots from diff angles so you guys that are experienced can help me figure out what color I have here, lol...
Bought this guy from the bantam bin at TSC during chick days a few months ago. Is he an OEG or something else? He is white with fawn/reding tips to some of his feathers. Very sweet and peaceful little guy that we named Snowball, lol.
My brooder is completely full after the past two weeks and I wanted to get some pics of a few of our precious fluffy butts before they reach the awkward stage.
A silkie working the stink eye already! lol
A trio of cuties (1 partridge silkies and one buff I think)-
Mottled D'Uccle, our own...
Was in the mood to take a few pics of my babies today and feel like sharing. I love these little guys so much.
My bantam partridge roo. A real sweetie so far.

Golden Sebright (roo?) love this little guy. He is sitting on...
I accidentally bumped an egg on day 16 while hand turning and cracked it pretty significantly. The membrane stayed intact but my heart sank thinking this was the end for my little cochin that was soon due to hatch. I did a search on here for the same problem and there were a few posts about...
This is one of the babies we hatched last Thursday. This particular egg was given to us. The actual egg it hatched from was not an EE color but could it still be an EE? The mutts hve been promised to a friend but if this is an EE we want to keep it.
This group is about 4 weeks old I think, maybe less?
They are my very first chickens and am dying to know which are Mr.'s & Mrs.'

Hi! My name is Nadia. I live in south Louisiana. I have ALWAYS wanted fancy chickens (think Martha Stewart and her beautiful flock and dream coop, LOL)
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Very new. Got our first chicks from Tractor Supply on Thursday March 18th. I...
Hi! I am completely new to chickens and picked these little guys up at Tractor Supply last week. Can you tell me what breeds I may have? I have identified one or two as golden Sebright, but the others, I don't know? I am hoping some are Mille Fleurs but would really be happy with any. All but 3...
