My Jersey Giant laid this egg yesterday. I hurt just looking at it. I think it is the size of a duck egg. It is about four inchs long. She seems to be fine.
I have had birds my whole life and buying feed is nothing new. If there were signs of bugs in the feed, I would throw 5 or ten pounds in the freezer and no more bugs. Now that I have chickens, I have a concern and I need some advice.

Here is a place in California that produces organic feed. I am not in any way selling or promoting this product. I have found it through my own investigation. Organic feed is very hard to find in my area and the feed stores here sneer at the word...
