Went to a craft fair today. A metal worker with cut out signs was there. One said, "Beware of my dog. He's an asshole." We laughed and decided that if Maggie was still alive we would have had him craft one for us.
A complaint from my mother when she was 85 years old. "This getting old stinks. I can only work 4 or 5 hours until I have to take a break." I replied, "You work more in a day than many your age do in a week." She loved to garden and can/freeze vegetables and fruit. She also made the best...
This was one of my mother's many sayings. To her, acting old was constantly whining and complaining about the aches and pains, constantly judging others, and expecting to be waited on hand and foot. I ascribe to her feelings.
That's what the Princess inferred several weeks ago when I was whining. She said, "Just shut up." I replied, "What?" and she said, "All of your friends can't walk, can't think, or both - just stop whining." She was right.
Day before yesterday I trimmed back a Japanese Magnolia that was taking over the house. Had to climb up into it to finish the job. Oh, the pain, two days later I am paying the price.
Good morning, and welcome to BYC. Glad that Piper is doing well and being cautious. Trying to keep Maggie 'quiet' after her spay was an impossibility, but then again that was Maggie. :love
