I'd guess that C is a cockerel, possibly D as well. The other 2 are hard to tell.

I agree with you. THey look like they began to develop and then quit pretty early on. That being said, I have a rule of 2 (or 3). I have to candle and consider an egg a goner twice before I actually toss it. But that's mostly my anxiety talking.
