What did you do in the garden today?

Getting some rain, thank goodness! We're at about 40% of our usual rainfall, so we really need it.

What did you do in the garden today?

Last year, I made a small batch and left it in the fridge. It didn't last long enough to spoil.:) These I did process so that I could store the jars down in the basement and bring them up one at a time.

I watered a few things that needed it. This little lady needed water too.

What did you do in the garden today?

Mine almost always do. Just rhubarb. I cut WAAAY back on the sugar, so it definitely has a tang to it. Both hubby and I like it.

What did you do in the garden today?

I had some HUGE stalks in one of my rhubarb plants and used those for jam. Hubby likes the jam, so this is a BIG win. How do you care for rhubarb? What kind of fertilizer/food does it like? I have one huge plant (start from a neighbor) and two much smaller plants (purchased crowns in 2022). If...

Oh, definitely! $2.75/pack seeds are $3.15 or even $3.95 now. And then there's the :duc germination rates some people are having!

What did you do in the garden today?

I have never let my spinach go to seed. 🤔 I might just let them and see what I get. I'm happy to save any seed I can! Seed security is another form of food security for me.

What did you do in the garden today?

I dug up the sage and replanted it. It got a good soaking. It will get more sunshine. I hope it does well. I replanted some pole beans in the row that gave me 4 for 20. We'll see what we get. I have "pole bean seed" on my shopping list too, and I'll get another variety. I found potato beetles...

What did you do in the garden today?

@Wee Farmer Sarah, my oregano loves the spot. I guess it's my oregano garden now. I'm going to try digging up the sage in the next couple days, thanks.

What did you do in the garden today?

Has anyone moved a sage plant? I have some in an area that just does not get enough sun. I want to move it to the bee garden. Mine has yet to flower. In fact I didn't even know that it should have lots of lovely purple flowers!

What did you do in the garden today?

I got hose run to the garden today. 350 feet of hose. It actually went a LOT better than I thought it would. Now I know which pieces to put where, to make it easier to disconnect when hubby needs to mow around there. To encourage it to rain tomorrow, I watered.

What did you do in the garden today?

@PopoMyers, 3 oz of EWO topsets is not very many! I ordered a half pound (I think) when I started them, and I would have remembered if I'd paid $66!!

What did you do in the garden today?

We'll probably see them in 2-3 weeks. That would be two weeks early, but everything is early this year. I have Green Beauty (seeds from a friend) that are about 2 feet tall and blooming. The flowers are different colors! Pink, darker pink, bluish, and a deep blue.

What did you do in the garden today?

We got a very nice rain last night, 3/8-1/2" and everything looks better. Except the bush beans. Something small (no footprints) went down the ENTIRE ROW and ate the plants down to stubby stems! :duc

What did you do in the garden today?

I think most (all?) fruit trees are grafted. I don't know about bushes or vines.

What did you do in the garden today?

I forgot to add that it's the same deal with onions. The layers of the onion bulb are specialized leaves, so they like nitrogen too. Same here! 4 out of about 20. :barnieI'm going to replant some in a few days.

What did you do in the garden today?

I gave my garlic a sprinkling of blood meal because: It's nitrogen, and I had a bag of it that I'd forgotten about. My garlic is looking pretty darn good! Above ground anyway. We'll see what I dig up in a few weeks.

What did you do in the garden today?

My spinach is bolting. I'm probably going to pull it soon (here, chickens!) and plant some more green beans where it was. We are getting some much needed rain! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mother Nature! :love:clap
