I got home from the auction, checked the flock, and dozed off in my recliner...I never do that during the day. The auction house is a huge metal building with lots of fans, but by midday you can feel the warmth. I think it wore me out. So, no garden work this afternoon. The coop is quieter.

I came home from work, and decided to see if I could find a hasp in the big shed, stored with assorted hardware. But then I looked at our old, decrepit shed...and the perfectly good hasp on its door. I removed the hasp and attached it to the new shed. AND found a perfectly fine Master Lock...

I had to water today, all the gardens. The wax beans are producing!! Those are Lemon squash. They taste like crookneck, but look like lemons. Seeds were from last year, Baker Creek.

Yep, I've noticed. Watering with city/chloramine water keeps the plants alive, but there seems to be a surge of growth every time it rains.

We're having a day of thunderstorms, I was hoping to get some yard work done, oh well. We DO need the rain. Between showers this morning: German Johnson Roma (plum) Lemon, straightneck, zucchini all fruiting. The Zapallito del Tronco in front has blossoms, no fruit yet.
