Bantam pair with chicks. Silver wheaten hen with a gold S/s wheaten cockerel. Cockerels should be silver or gold S/s and pullets should be silver or red.
We recently got a freeze dryer. This is part of what we’ve done. From left to right, chocolate flavored protein drink, strawberries, pineapple, goats milk, lemons and asparagus.
We had eggs scrambled with chopped onions, a tiny bit of chopped apple, a bit of goats milk and seasoning. I fried it all in a bit of olive oil to prevent burning in the pan. The seasoning was Tony Chachere's creole seasoning.
It turned out pretty awesome and quite moist as well!
We fed chocolate to our dogs regularly, didn't seem to have a negative effect, if anything it seemed to have a positive effect.
We had a friend that would buy the big Hershey's dark chocolate bars by the case for her Boxer dog. The dog got a whole bar every week and lived to be 15 years old.
I've had crossbeaks too, they tend to be among the healthiest most cheerful chickens in the flock. I do the same as you mentioned in making sure they can eat properly.
