What did you do in the garden today?

That was how it came in the box, but thanks. I store hoses in wide loops, 28"-32" perhaps?

What did you do in the garden today?

I don't have bees, but I have seen wasps drinking from my shallow birdbath. They will stand on a lily pad and drink from the pond, too.

What did you do in the garden today?

I have bad allergies, too, but I learned a way to minimize my reactions: I avoid foods that seem to make allergies worse. I stopped eating chocolate 😔 and peanuts, they made my nose stuffy. And when I removed corn from my diet (it's HARD) I stopped getting sinus headaches, and having sneezing...

I can eat Jimmy Dean's, and Walmart used to carry it. We use it in stuffing/dressing.

What did you do in the garden today?

The newer cheaper hoses have metal ends that corrode when left attached to the faucet. I had to use a small hacksaw to remove my hose, then had to get a die tool to redo the threads. I bought a "lifetime" hose and a brass Y valve from Lee Valley so I could attach two hoses to my faucet. I...

What did you do in the garden today?

The best remedy for poison ivy is antihistamines. It's an allergic reaction, makes sense.

It makes me itch, but my skin doesn't break out if I touch it.

What did you do in the garden today?

I thought it was wisteria popping up all over my yard. Nope, trumpet vine. I think goats will eat that as well... 🐐🐐🐐 Until I get goats I can get a weed burner and destroy them with 🔥🔥🔥

What did you do in the garden today?

I'm in zone 8a. I usually can plant annuals by April 1-15. But I miss tulips, lilacs, and other cooler weather flowers.

What did you do in the garden today?

Mine are straightening up. You're right how more air circulation can help prevent powdery mildew. Someone mention zucchini? One thing to keep in mind, do not prune the main vine. If you're not sure, wait to see which stem continues to grow before pruning. I made that mistake with one of my...

What did you do in the garden today?

Thanks! I did this procedure last year, and had more squash for a longer season than in the prior 35 years! I had to take out leaves because they were interfering with the staking. I often take off extra tomato branches, too. It opens them up for air circulation, and I have less fungal issues.

What did you do in the garden today?

Yesterday I mowed part of the yard around the coop, and the clippings were greatly appreciated by the flock. Pruned, wrapped, and secured my Summer squash, I had neglected it recently. The plants will straighten up, and I'll tie them up some more. First squash: Weeded my melons a couple...

What did you do in the garden today?

I'm with you, I can't tolerate hot peppers. I started eating a chicken sandwich from a breakfast restaurant, and felt my throat close up before I even felt the burn. There was nothing in the description to indicate it was hot or Cajun. It has to be something in the peppers, because I can eat...

What did you do in the garden today?

I just discovered an app, iNaturalist, and it identified this as American jumpseed. It also confirmed the other as Asiatic dayflower. And @NanaK was on the right track, it's in the spiderwort family!
