Maybe your chickens don't have enough calcium? The only time I have ever got a soft shelled egg was when a hen laid her first egg. And she was on a different feed then. But, different people have different experiences with things of course:D
Yes! I found maybe 1-2 buyers but they don't get eggs often at all. I hate store bought eggs personally. I also hate the way people treat chickens in egg factories:mad: It's kinda stupid when cartons will say on them "cage-free" and many people picture the chickens in an open field but in...
Hi all!
Disclaimer:
This is not an advertisement😆 I just really like this brand of feed. It has really worked for me and my chickens love it.
I've seen a lot of threads and posts saying that their hens are laying hardly any eggs.
I want to share with you what chicken feed I get MY chickens...
A yeast problem may arise, if it has or has not already, either way it's a good idea to feed her some apple cider vinegar. There is also a medication called Nystatin, but I haven't used it before so do more research before giving it to Pearls.
I personally prefer crumble, to me it seems that the girls have a hard time eating pellets.
I love Kalmbach feeds. My 11 hens have laid well over 100 eggs this year so far. Ever since I switched over to Kalmbach there was a noticeable difference. What are you feeding them now?
Around 100. It fluctuates in the .0 range if you know what I mean, so the coolest is 99.5 (especially when I open the lid) and the hottest it's been was 101 but it's only that hot for 1 an hour or so.
Wow that is truly AMAZING. Thank you for describing it in such detail!
It looks like we are gonna get some really small chicks😆 And also some big ones as well!
Hi all,
well today is finally day 12. I candled yesterday and all was looking well 😊
I was wondering if I was supposed to pump up the temp after day 12 like it says here?

Or do you just let it be? And also, what does day of transfer mean?
Thanks so much!:)
