Nice to hear the sick girls are getting better.
💛 I almost could translate the poem. 🌟✨⭐️ 🌞
But one word is missing in my french vocabulary and now I wonder what t’ enfuis means?
Clever thinking. You should be an important politician /gov advisor instead of retiring.
Good idea to live a life away from the stupid people in this world and only relate to a few hermits, chickens 🐓 and wild pigs 🐷. Maybe one day I buy a property somewhere at the edge of the world to follow...
Thanks for the explanation and the link
. And good to hear you have high hopes.
Or within their bodies?
It’s decreasing rapidly in my country. Several wise politicians stopped after the last term because of harassments and personal threats. Stupid narcissistic /populist politicians came in...
Sorry for Lilly and Piou-piou, your sick chickens. :hugs:hugs:fl:fl
Imho it’s not good you /the vet give her antibiotics for the third time this year. I wouldn’t for sure. A chicken that had so much antibiotics has an imbalanced health (imbalanced bacteria) and is vulnerable for new diseases...
:hugs💜💙🧡🩷💚
Thanks for sharing Blances story.
One thing I didn’t understand.
If they arrived as pullets they can’t have been ex-bats. They must have been older hens or young laying hybrids.
Ooh, did she die today?
Sorry for your loss. Must be sad and strange for you and your partner if she is gone.
We all wil miss her!
:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs
How ….. 🤬🤐
Killing in spring is a crime for the law but what the boar does to your field is a crime too. And wasting so much meat is even a bigger crime.:
… bind the boar on a ladder, let it bleed out, cut it in two halfs, … process everything asap. Don’t tell anyone if you have a huge...
My chickens just don’t like fermented food. Not late autumn and not late spring.
The second time I used a mother from organic apple cider vinager. It worked fabulous and smelled real good. But even then they wouldn’t eat much of it.
What a great picture! You should post it the POW...
Did you read the story of the oldest chicken (Guinness record). The hen was taken inside with her dayghter. And the both became extremely old.
So I was thinking it probably not bad at all to let Blanche in the house if you feel comfortable with the idea too.
Thanks for the paracetamol...
Wow, its really cold out there. Sorry for your struggling trees and the frozen fruit.
It seems you are doing Blanche a great pleasure to get her in the warmth of the house and your company to rest.
I wonder what painkiller you give her, and how much? How do you divide a tablet into equal...
I hope Blanche will find her peace before her live gets miserable. 💕
The internet 🛜 is a bit unreliable, hopefully good enough to send you a photo of one of todays highlight of our hike to the 25 cascades on Madeira.
Just to share:
My Tintin is a very probable a boy and Ini mini who becomes 10 yo next month is laying after her long winter break.
Also glad I cant contribute in chicken illnesses.
For those who lost my thread and like to read more /like to respond...
I hope she can enjoy life a bit longer. :fl
The tip Molpet gave crossed my mind too. I would follow that up too, preferably with chick feed.
And as Manue says, routines in when and where may help too.
I wonder where do you keep her in the house? In a cage or free ranging in one of your rooms...
