Hello! I'm just across the river in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Wanted to share that I have several BCM roosters and BCM mix roosters if anyone has a need! Thanks!
Has anyone had any luck with Repell All around their hives? Would it be bad for the chickens? I've used it successfully for the past few years around my garden for deer and coons....just wondering if around the coop could help?
I'm hoping to soon have more eggs than I can use and no neighbors to share with....my thought was to donate to this great soup kitchen I know of, but how do I know if they will be "permitted" to take these fresh eggs? How do I find out about the rules about such a thing? thanks!
That's sad! I've got the whole coop surrounded with 6' fence and adding a skirt of hardware cloth, too. I'm hoping that will prevent coons from getting in....finishing the gate portion. I'm putting in hardware cloth under the gate portion, too so they can't dig under and get in that way...
I bought this shameful little coop, adorable, but fragile, for my Polish so they could be separated from my main flock. I had extra 6' fence I've put around it and have it set up so that I can open the coop door and it will lead into the metal run with the top over it. I don't have daytime...
Hello! My coop is 10x12 and I'm wanting to switch to horse pellets for bedding. How many of the 40# bags would I need? I stink at math. Pic because I love him. Thanks!
I did consider that the yarn wouldn't last too long. I'm hoping to redo with real netting next spring with the help of some kiddos. They just weren't available when I got my hawk scare and decided to go with the yarn temporarily...so far, so good!
Yes, the others are all roos....some I hatched and that was not as surprising but the one I specifically ordered to be a lady is not....nor is his brother.....that's surprising. :barnie
