Hi
Anyone know what I should do?
My silkie hasn’t been feeling well for about a week and a half. She seems to be a bit better, but is still sneezing and sounds conjested, like she’d need to blow her nose.
Not eating much and I need to give her water with a sering
Any idea’s?😢
Any ideas why my frizzle pecks on my baby silkie? It would always be glued to my roo frizzle, makes me assume irs a pullet....
My silkie is supposed to be a girl🤔
Any ideas? They are 7 1/2 weeks old.
White one is more timide, follower. Brown acts like a protector but they started "chest bumping" like two bros 🤣. Also, the brown one does not like when my 5 week old silkie approaches, it runs after it or pecks it's head. They have characters that can go...
Hello all,
So I thought I'd repost the same quesrion but bow, the chicks are a bit older. Plus, I have a new baby. The first pictures are my older frizzle silkies (8 1/2 weeks) last few pictures are of my pure baby Silkie (5 1/2 weeks). What do you think, pullets or roos?
Lol, 5 weeks is if I base myself on the breeder's information (2 weeks, was more like 3/4) plus they told me he was a Silkie, a bit lost😒
But he definitely is older, I say give or take 8 weeks.
I also did a lot of web searching to determine both the gemder and age
Interesting, makes sense. I even think (hard to tell) that the head is black skin dut the rest pink. The ears look black too. We'll see the end result in a few weeks 😊🤞
Me again😊
I was just sold a "pure Bantam Silkie" 11 days old. I noticed that he/she has pinkish orangy skin rather than black. The bredder os convinced its a pure breed, having both parents.
What do you think?
I always questioned the age. I got him on April 18 and they told me the chick was 2 weeks old. I think it is at least +-2 weeks older. So I'm thinking he/she is at least 6-7 weeks.
You all seem pretty sure it's a cockerel 😕
Hello all,
I would like to see if anyone might have an idea of my baby chicks gender.
5 week old Ameracauna.
I have a feeling it might be a cockerel just by the attitude and posture. Plus, it's not friendly with my other baby frizzles.
