Trying to order from your website; tried three different browsers, and they all tell me "nothing in your cart." (I have 2 medium feeders in the cart). I've also tried to go through the paypal link with no luck and it just takes me to an unsecured page notice.

Same Old Story-Cockerel Hates One Layer

Thanks. This is my first experience with this, and never a fun decision. But I feel at peace that it was the right decision.

Same Old Story-Cockerel Hates One Layer

Update: Cockerel started going after a second 18-month old layer and bloodied up her comb pretty good. Was def not a mating issue. She is a very sweet, very productive lavender orpington. I watched him chase her around and around and attack several times. He was still going after the Easter...

    Somebody gotta help me

My most broody birds are my two Wyandottes. You don't HAVE to let her brood. I remove eggs under my broodies, and let them sit for however long they want (bc I have plenty of nest boxes). Others like to "break" their broodies. Kind of up to you what way you want to go with this.

Same Old Story-Cockerel Hates One Layer

I have 12 chickens--6 1 1/2 yo layers; 5- 6 month old pullets and an "accidental" 6 month old splash ameracauna cockerel. He is human friendly, and generally flock friendly. Totally mixed flocked. All laying except several layers are in molt. Coop is 12x9 with a suspended roof and ceiling...

18 week splash Blue Ameracauna roo or pullet?

Thank you. We’ll keep him as long as he is behavior appropriate with hoomans.

18 week splash Blue Ameracauna roo or pullet?

Supposed to be a pullet, but I’m not so sure. Has always been a bossy Betty since tiny. Seems bigger than the rest in her cohort, too, and even taller than many of my 1.5 yo layers.

    Completed Coop

Truth. We are considering gravel or similar. May even do horse stall pellets. Seems to hold up in our wet weather pretty well.

    Completed Coop

I apologize. I misread that and took offense when I obviously should not have. Thank you for your kind words.

    Completed Coop

Finally, here's a shot of our whole setup--the old omlet peeping behind, and the run to the left. There is non-predator proof free range netting to attempt to keep the chickens from straying over to the neighbors'

    Completed Coop

Computer generated? What an interesting complement. But...thanks ??? Husband does have a good photographic eye, and it was a beautiful PNW day yesterday when we snapped the final pic. I've thrown in additional pics. Husband and I did all the work on it ourselves except for the day one of...

    Finally completely finished...

Gorgeous! Your chickens must be loving it.

    Completed Coop

Husband and I have been working on TheGardenCoop's loft plan a couple hours a weekend since January. Pleased to announce this weekend's opening of Trotting Cat Farm's Ladies Lair. For those unfamiliar with the plan, it is basically an 11.5 x 9 x 8 open air coop. The entire ceiling is...

Did you ever buy a prefab coop? Give a review!

I have two pre-fabs---an Eglu and a TSC we use(d) as a hospital coop. I like the Eglu, and wish it were bigger bc chicken math is a thing. I do often wonder if Eglu's harsh critics here on the board have ever seen them in person. Additionally, we have a covered run, and rotating free range...

    Coop sand - smelly?

We are currently building this exact coop. My plan is to put sand in the actual enclosure, with some Saturday Lime sprinkled in, and then use deep litter method in the "run" area (we live in WET between 2 major rivers, high water table etc. Sand would be a bog) In our current too-small coop...
