Hi
I have what appears to be l think a blind Silkie. I did live with another roo for 3-4years along with 5-6silkie hens but they started fighting and my poor Silkie boy came off worse so l immediately separated them and cleaned him up. Kepted the Silkie boy where he was and moved the Pekin boy...
Just to end this post, l decided to cull my rooster as it wasn't fair to him. He was a looker aswell!!
Thank you for your posts flock master and true byc addict.
I hope l don't see those symptoms again!!
Thank you for your reply Flock Master but Harriett passed away.
She wasn't vaccinated, healthy and a good appetite. Free range of 10mx10m pen. She went down hill very quickly the weight just dropped off her. Ate a couple of free sweet corn and drank abit of water with cocid init and after that...
Help!!
I've a young hen who has recently gone down hill very quickly. She is lethargic, losing weight rapidly, dark green poop, picking at eating.
She is in the house now under a hot water bottle to keep her warm. Keep tempting her with alsorts to get her to eat.
She's passing dark green poop...
My poor silkie boy has started with a respiratory infection, bunged up sinus. Treated with VetRX which worked very well and seemed to be on the mend. He is eating/drinking and responsive. A couple of days ago his eye swelled up very quickly....abscess?? I've FNA and nothing.
Do l try lance...
I know am horrified beekissed that l havent noticed it before now.

Am going off a previous post on treating him but any other advice would be welcome.
