ah that's too bad. unfortunately it happens. could be almost anything but I would guess coon. A fox would eat the whole chicken. Could be a dog. I've been battling the dog problem.

I'm not even sure animal control still exists in my county. The neighbor is aware, will probably keep dogs locked up when not walking them. I live in the country, deep woods, so I'm used to the normal predators.

I made a tunnel. Hardware cloth and tubing then staked it in the ground but you could bury it. Just an idea. Mine works pretty darn good.

Assure him there is NO difference. Pick your eggs up daily and put them in the fridge. Having a rooster gives you free chickens which we will all need.
