I would say for 2 weeks she will be fine. several chickens at the fair survive in their crates for a week at county then another week at state. But happy is another matter.

If the processing takes place on a weekday I should be able to help too.

It might be the size of the pen. At least when I had roosters the roosters had the largest free ranging area of my yard so maybe 1/4 of an acre. Now they had to share that area with many roosters but I rarely had them penned except at night.

I'd treat them like large guard dogs. When my goat was delivered to me he was a large adult and he rode quietly in the back of a pickup truck.

They do both. Right now we pen them up at night and milk in the morning for their bottles but after milking they nurse during the day as they desire.

I can give one or two roosters a home. It would be more of a summer and fall home I suspect But there is a chance that they would become pets and make it through the winter. They would be free ranged and live with goats. So a very happy life up until that one bad day.
