    Hey! We are doing just fine. My hubby, Doug, had major surgery last year so we've been focused on his recovery. Our chicks are doing good. Laying is a bit slow. We have started our first vegetable garden in two years. Looking forward to fresh veggies!

    My husband and I are new to chickens. We acquired 8 Rhode Island Red chicks today. Prior to now we have provided a lifetime sanctuary for senior and disabled domestic cats and dogs. We are here to learn all we can about caring for our new creatures and growing our small farm.
