How long does it take for eggs to be fertile. My turkey been mating for few weeks and eggs at beginning are not fertile..so I was just wondering do chickens/turkeys have to mate a month for them to be fertile..seem like heard some like that once may be wrong..???

I just love my silkies. I have three and I thought my bigger white one was a roo but wasn't sure and my small white and small black females I thought anyway and I am right..I took out the small white and small black other day and boy did the bigger silkie have a fit and started a cute roo...
