Pam at Padilla's Peeps ( the breeder in Goodyear) seams like a real nice lady. She was very flexible about pickup time for the eggs and was really good about answering my question. A real Pro.

Thank you for all the recommendations about my new project. Decided to go with blue eggs. Searched around and got 9 Crested Cream Legbar hatching eggs from a breeder in Goodyear, AZ. Set them in the small incubator Friday for a 25th of September hatch date. Really like this new incubator...

I hope I do have 55 chicks. Always room for more chickens. Aren't you glad your not my neighbor! No really, lets do some math. 55 would be a perfect hatch of what is left. Not going to happen since I got up this morning and the bulb in my incubator had burned out sometime in the night. Temp was...

I candled today and pulled 19 for obvious reasons like being clear or no development. Went from 74 to 55 eggs.

I am looking for a good egg candler and I was wondering if anyone knew of a place in the Phoenix area that sells them. I have seen several on line but kind of want to do eyes on shopping to get a nice one but not too expensive.

Yes! They are. I grouped yours together to make it easier to identify the ones with the codes on them. I even put them in the incubator where it tends to hold the right temp better. lol

Thanks. I will get back to you later this week. I have had offers of eggs from a couple other members too, so I will be doing a mixed hatch. I have gotten eggs from you in the past and got some good results. I think some of the ones I am harvesting in January came from eggs from you. Also you...
