One dead and two acting lethargic

Thank you. It's only been 3 days since i started the layer feed. I don't think that's what's causing their sluggish behavior and stuck poop and it can't be what killed the first one since it passed Saturday night. So I'm not sure, but I'll definitely be getting them back on all flock or at...

One dead and two acting lethargic

Right, I don't know why I didn't think of grower while I was there, I feel foolish. But I figured it wouldn't hurt for a few days so I grabbed a smaller bag of layers. Usually I feed all flock and suppliment with oyster shells for calcium. I have been giving the chicks egg whites for more...

One dead and two acting lethargic

Here is a video of them this morning. they seem fine overall, just less enthusiastic than the others and they have that poop stuck to them. I'm going to bring them inside today and rinse them off a bit. The poop has only been there a day or two.

One dead and two acting lethargic

Ok. They've been on layer feed less than a week. The feed store was out of all flock so I picked up a bag of layers to hold them over. They said they'd be getting a shipment in sometime this week. I usually always feed all flock because of my goose. I really doubt it is the feed though, by how...

One dead and two acting lethargic

Roughly 3 months but I'm not sure. I got them from a local breeder and they are all different ages. All are fully feathered and have been for around a month. I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow. A very short time, I doubt it's because of the feed, I've also been supplementing with egg...

Yes it has suddenly gotten hot. They may seen slightly off balance, but they always are because of their deformity so idk if its more so than usual. I have lots of electrolytes on hand so I will add some to their water first thing in the morning. I have been giving them nutridrench.

One dead and two acting lethargic

Hey all. I got a group of silky and satin chicks in early April. All were doing good until this week when I found my blue satin dead in the coop. No warning, just dead one morning. I assumed he overheated. But now I have 2 more being less active and more lethargic. Both have poop stuck to...

    Goose aggressive towards one chicken

Just wanted to update. Oddly enough the behavior just stopped. There hasn't been an incident in several days now with either bird. The bantam is still broody and the goose has started laying eggs consistently this past week and both have been completely peaceful. I'm hoping this continues but...

    Goose aggressive towards one chicken

I see. Well I'll try separating her and see what happens in a few months.

    Goose aggressive towards one chicken

Bantam is higher on the pecking order. No, the bantam isn't going near anything. She is broody right now so I'm wondering if it's because she is being a little more aggressive as well. The chickens have nest boxes the goose can't get into. They've been together since November with no...

    Goose aggressive towards one chicken

Just odd to me she is singling out one bird. She's not even my only bantam, I have others smaller than her.

    Goose aggressive towards one chicken

I'll separate her and see if she does better later in the summer. She already sleeps in a separate coop with the few birds she was raised with. I'll keep a close eye out. The bantams are being kept in a dig crate right now for integration so they are safe, I'll take some more time than I...

    Goose aggressive towards one chicken

I decided to try and raise a gaurd goose after several of my birds were taken or killed by hawks. I got my baby African goose from a hatchery in October. I got very attached to her. She was raised with a group of chicks that she did very well with, and until now has been completely peaceful...
