Crows are easier to deal with than the human kind and won't abuse the chickens and geese. :-) Think of the fun adventure that you will have with Henry and the ladies going around to harvest the relocated produce! You could also leave an empty whiskey bottle laying at the edge of your plot...
They bring me lot's of joy and watching them explore and use their new space is fun.
Spud is doing amazing but he he going to wear himself out, running after the various groups of girls that run in opposite directions, while the other boys stay with few near the food and coop. LOL
I worry, because they have been raised by me, not a wise mother hen to teach them what is safe and what isn't. If I tell them no, they just laugh at me and do it anyway. LOL
It is an ongoing process and they love watching and participating in all the building activities.
The Egg Theif and Spud are building the shade and anti-predator shelter #2. The picture is fuzzy because it was snapped through the window. If I had opened the door, Spud would have abandoned his post to come see me..lol

We get nearly 10 to almost 12 hours of daylight in the winter, December being our lowest. As soon as the sun is up, I let them out of the coop, unless it is below...
That is amazing! The pictures are gorgeous! I am very glad you had your magic scratch supply, I would hate to think how a mom and cubs would react to a band of curious chickens.
You are really making me want to add some Speckeles to my group! They are so gorgeous! Before I fall further...
