    What breed am i?

Our RK orders from hoover hatchery and all were supposedly pullets🙄 (not that I care) in the 200 chicks there were EE, Oliver Eggers, barred bantam, etc. The ones in the picture I just couldn't figure out the breed, I've never seen one feather out so slow like literally no fuzz and naked skin! 😂😂😂

A word of advice for first time feather parents or anyone unfamiliar with feed!

You are correct it is not a layer feed, the layer feed was in completely different bags, it was personally mixed via the feed store and was in all white feed sacks, sewed shut with ingredients written on the bag. The feed pictured is an all flock feed "FOR POULTRY OVER 8 WEEKS" According to...

A word of advice for first time feather parents or anyone unfamiliar with feed!

I was not aware that was a possibility. According to the feed rep the feed killed them due to the larger crumbles and their inability to digest them?

Anyone want to play guess the breed?

Sad part is the owners, their adult children and grandchildren are who run the office, which has been in their family for over 100 years!

A word of advice for first time feather parents or anyone unfamiliar with feed!

I am sharing my story of stupidity in hopes of preventing another senseless tragedy from occurring in another coop. Backround: Recently my small farm decided to start supporting small family owned companies over large box stores. In doing this we choose to purchase feed from a local feed store...

Anyone want to play guess the breed?

On to the smaller ducks that I purchased today as shown in pictures 1, 2 and 3. I purchased the 3 yellow ones because I thought they were crested, this was due to the fact they possessed additional fuz, that was shaped like a woman's bun, on top of their head. It wasn't until I got home and was...

Anyone want to play guess the breed?

would assume there is at least 7-10 days difference in age between the larger ducklings and the smaller ones. I base this guess on the fact that when I purchased the 4 Rouen, and the 2 following ducks those were the only breeds rural king had on display. In regards to the duck below, pictures 1...
