Hello, I have 9 hens. We use pine shavings in the coop and laying area. The always kick them out of laying area so I am wondering if they don't like them in there. What else can I use that they may tolerate? Thanks

My hens will not go outside of their coop where their food and water is during this snowy and cold weather. I am concerned they will dehydrate or starve to death. Let alone not getting any fresh air or sunshine!

I raise chickens. It brings me joy and eggs. I have 2 hens that are about 4 years old now. I started out with 6, buy lost 4 in the last few years. Bought 10 in March. 8 are hens for sure, 4 Isa Browns, 4 Golden Crowns, and 2 Barred Plymouth Rocks which were straight run, but I think 1 of them is...
