    Good to know. I was told otherwise by the breeder. Clearly you are correct and the breeder was misinformed. That being said, what is the easiest way to tell them apart when they are young (hopefully before they start laying)?

    I forgot to add (it is a bit difficult to tell in the photos) the one that looks like a male has more red on their head, but the the waddle thing is not long. Also, their mother has chest hair. Is that normal or do I have weird hormonal turkeys?

    White primaries

    I see the tiny bit of white. I will look for more on my bird. This is my first pair or peafowl. I would like to get into some of the other colour mutations later on down the road.
