I have a hen sitting 8 eggs and Yesterday I found that we have mites In the coop. Can I dust/spray her and the eggs or do I have to call it a loss and have her start over. She is lovingly known as Broody McAdditudey because hell or high water she will hatch a set every year.

Would the hens breed from these two(Red Sex Link Hens and Australorp Rooster) be as decent of layers as their respective parents. Someone wants to give me red sexlink hens but I have only ever had Aussie.
