What a pretty chicken! I ended up not keeping the babies so I have no idea how they turned out

Thank you. Hopefully I will see her again soon.. I was hoping I'd be able to lock her up today bc we have a storm coming. I hope she'll be OK. I've always wanted a hen to go broody but these aren't the best circumstances 😫

I have others and she is very close to one of my other hens so I'm thinking she's broody bc I dont think she'd just leave her bestie behind like that. I will try locking her up with a new nest, if she comes back... Haven't seen her all day 😔 I'm starting to worry

So I need some advice, my hen has been disappearing during the days and nights and only coming around a few hours each day, in the mornings. I assume she's broody, the problem is 1) she is going off our property into one of our neighbors yard and idk where her nest is and 2) her eggs are not...

That'd what my husband wanted to do as well! But for now he has just ordered a biggie kiddie pool. The sides look like they'll be super flimsy tho so idk how I'm gonna get the ducks in and out. They're terrified of us so I won't be able to pick them up 😔

I didn't know that about the wattles. And I thought that too bc I haven't seen red wing feathers on females before. Thanks for yalls answers even tho they broke my heart lol

It is in the 90s here daily, but their combs are always red. I guess I have just been in denial. 💔 but they don't have red wattles and I'm not too familiar with EEs. These are the only 2 that hatched with a beard so I have been hoping they're girls

Ive asked before when they were younger but here we go again. What do yall think, pullets or cockerels?? Im really hoping for pullets and this wait is killing me!
